As much as most folk wont like it the germans actually did. They played the most attractive football and more importantly consistently played good football. The Argentinians played well in most matches but not all. The Italians played a negative but successful football and definitely played as a team. But the Germans were the only ones to encompass all the good attributes which the other teams only partially displayed.

Good question!As a team Italy because they were the only national that really looked like a team and not like a bunch of superstars,as a spectacular team Argentina for the beautifull football they have played,as a disappointment Brazil and Serbia-Montenegro.

Umm, I'm sorry, but how can anybody honestly say Italy played the best - were they watching the same world cup?
Argentina, Portugal, France, Germany, Ghana.

u know what iv been wondering and i have to say ITALY played the best even after the game vs. usa after the whole mcbride getting elbowed in the face by i think cannavaro they played so well especially when they got 2 goals in less than five min. vs germany.

France, it seemed as though they wouldn't get very far.. but they improved in every game.. showing their good players in each game.. that shows that you're not out until u say u're out!!

i think there was three teams that played thier best all around
1.Germany
2.France
3.Ghana
