I really need good advice. Its affecting my sleep and work.

I think you are too stress out, try to relax with some soft soothing music, burn some jasmine or lavender aromatic oil or candle, drink some tea too as all these will have a calming effect which may help your muscle around your shoulder and neck to relax. You can then sleep better after a good rest. And while you are doing all these, don't think of work or anything stressful, keep your mind free.

I'm in the same boat! I would suggest a heating pad for about 20 minutes at a time. This seems to help me alot. And at work, try to stand up and walk around for a minute or two and it will straighten you spine out a little bit and release some rension from it. Hope I could help!

Muscle relaxers such as flexaril or soma. Go to your doctor and have him pop your neck (if he is a D.O.) and back and give you muscle relaxers. You will feel like a new person in just a few days.
