If you need to have it designed for you it will cost much more. Think $500-$5000.

To start a successful website, you have to see that a website by itself is just a representation of a real world business.

Amazon and Yahoo have huge offices that employ thousands of people. And yet most people know them as just a website. Like any other small business.

To make a successful website you have to start out with a real business, that TAKES ADVANTAGE, of the internet's dynamicness and pervasiveness. Amazon and Ebay are the best examples of such websites.

Now if you are referring to how to make a website well known, that is a complex process of marketing on the web. Which is an entire process on its own.

You are, in my opinion, going in the right direction. You are asking people how to make a successful website. Since you don't know, and there is no simple answer, at least you have taken the very first step to being a success.

Good luck in all your endeavors

Hello Susie,

Please, whatever you do, do not waste your precious time and/or money on a free website - they flat out are not successful

I created my website with SBI! last February, 2006.

I now get over 4,000 hits per month and it continues to grow each month.

No technical knowledge required. If you Yahoo!,
you know more than enough to create a website that works using the easy SBI! system.

Over 20,000+ people around the world enjoy the benefits of this system.

Some say even spiritually.

Don’t take my word for it. Spend a little time on your own due diligence.

A special prize is reserved for you here (http://specialprize.sitesell.com/WalterA.html)

so that their family can be their first priority.

income generation and personal fulfillment they are seeking.

you can get hosting for $3.99 a month and a domain name for $1.99 a year at godaddy.com (last I heard they were still running the $1.99 special).

Doesn't get much cheaper than that.
