its hard enough to prove somethings do let alone do not? God exists, prove otherwise, wind, gravity, our universe, prove you love who you say you do. GW is a theory, not believed by most, proved by no one as of yet. the facts show, no GW

Global warming? ppl mostly want pollution regulations and thats GREAT & necessary. going about it by claiming firebreathing dragons are causing it. and we need to study them is as silly as saying global warming or mankind is doing this thru anything other than pollution, not by global warming or firebreathing dragons.

so many people had believed our earth was flat, it isnt by the way but arguments of global warming are. the world was scientifically proved to be round in 500bc. how many ppl knew this? people believe in evolution except darwin who attributed so much to a Devine Creator. God exists

the 100 or so who have cried global warming have sd from the late 50s thru the 80s we were heading into an ice age. THEY HAD PROOF, positive? ;o)

no one expected everyone to get the points, which is why i put them in. the ones with real intellect and a thorough understanding of the reports, will make intelligent conversation, even in disagreement to mine. those who believe w/o reading them will show their cheeky monkey (_!_).
ppl as uniformed and uneducated as you can only share their views as ignorantly & abusively as you have to do. since you have no heart, no character & no content to your objections to show your side of an argument. you can only attack others, themselves. you didnt deny my points or try to make a point of your own. if you read thru more ppl argue against GW now. the facts show theres no impact 1/10th of 1% its effecting us. also, the so called arguments that once proved ice ages to come never did. and now are bringing in a heatwave & severe storms. GW's pseudoScifi

its like preachers who claim to know the end of days that have yet to come. God is in everything, why would mentioning Him trouble anyone?

Actually the evidence suggest that the planet has gone through Both Global Cooling and Global Warming. A humans lifespan is so short in the scope of the earths time line that no one call conclusively say if we are the cause or if this is normal planetary
behavior. How long has humankind observed and recorded the planets behavior compared to how long the planet has been here.

We are going through a pole shift, early cultures may have gone through this same thing but probably before any written language
and was carried word of mouth. Until finally recorded by future generation, though distorted through oral tradition.

What are you talking about? You obviously know nothing about science. You belong in a different Yahoo! Answers room.

By the way, there weas no worldwide scientific agreement on a ice age in the 50s-80s. There is a worldwide scientific agreement on man's cause of the current global warming. The only disenters are in the pockets of Big Energy.

CO2 is 30% higher than it has been for 650,000 years. Methane is 130% greater. These are two of the main pollutants humans put into the atmosphere in excess, and they are two of the primary greenhouse gases.

Look at the 'hockeystick', which shows a dramatic warming since 1950 after a fairly stable climate for 1000 years. In fact, the 10 hottest years in recorded history have all happened since 1990, with 2005 being the hottest, and 2006 is shaping up to maybe break that record.
(see links below)

How's that for proof of man's fault in this? There is ample proof, any real scientist will tell you that.

There has NEVER been an article doubting man's influence on global warming published in a peer-reviewed journal. A recent study of almost 1000 proved that.

Yes, the earth naturally heats and cools, but the rate and amount we are warming now is unprecedented in the recent geologic past. We are doing this, and we must stop it. This is not some political statement or rhetoric. This is science trying to educate a crass, ignorant public of the damage they are doing. The magnitude of temperature increase ALREADY is about 10x that of the 'little ice age' of the middle ages, and rate and amount are only going up.

Just to be clear, glacial and interglacial cycles are mainly controlled by astronomical fluctuations, but we have a detailed record of the last 7 cycles, and what the climate and CO2 is doing now is way different and extreme. The rate of increase is much higher than in the past AND the value itself is much higher.

Basically what people are saying is that the earth has periods where it naturally warms up and cool down without human interference. Ice Ages occur when several factors combine like the shape of earth's orbit which is not perfectly elliptical combined with the tilt and other factors on earth such as its natural amount of gases like carbon dioxide as in the carbon cycle.

I've read up on the carbon cycle which is relevant to global warming. Basically the atmosphere is under 1% "other" gases like carbon dioxide and methane. What happens is trees will gobble up some carbon dioxide in photosynthesis and in fall when it jetisons its leaves the carbon dioxide it absorbed as a gas, took inside itself, now sits on the forest floor as a solid. Bacteria cause massive amounts of leaves to decompose and this releases the carbon as a gas back into the atmosphere as carbon dioxide and the cycle goes around again.

In a bog the leaves become peat and get buried under sediments. Heat and pressure and millions of years this can become oil or gas. I'm sure you've heard of swamp gas. The burning of fossil fuels releases all this carbon dioxide in a matter of a few years when in the natural environment it was sort of behind schedule in being released into the atmosphere anyway by being trapped under layers of sediments.

Don't be such a moron. I feel sorry for our future generations because people like you are allowed to breed.

Just because you a right-wing facist, you're gonna throw away the future? Gore has nothing to do with this!

Everything you said (the parts I could understand) is completely wrong.

your stupidity precedes you.

everything you said have been said before by others just as retarded or with other agendas, but at least that others have said so much much more eloquently and with better pseudo-facts.

it takes someone so thoroughly ignorant as you to throw in 'god' in a discussion about global warming.
