I can see where this could be frustrating. Just because someone has less education doesn't mean that they aren't competent. Your boss may be old school and there's nothing wrong with that.

Have you considered talking with him about ways to make things more efficient? If there are certain projects that are going on or are about to start then come up with some ideas and present them to him. Give reasons why you think these ideas would help the company. Even if your ideas get tweaked that's ok. Comprise is important no matter what business you are in. Old school methods are just as good as modern methods. If things don't get any better then consider looking for another job.

1stly, he's the boss. Give him some respect and listen to him. He may not be educated, but surely there must be something you can learn from him. 2ndly, get him onto your side -- just talk to him more and understand him. Surely he had interviewed you when you went for the interview, right ? Good Luck.

change your job.
and if thats not possible, see if you can propose these modern business methods to him as a business case, explaining him the benefits that might come to him and the organization using them.

The benefits could be resource related, cost related, work efficiency related.

Act like a professional who thinks best of the company.

Hope this helps! Good Luck!

You think "He dont wants to use ..." is proper grammar and you say he's much less educated? I think you WAY over estimate your intelligence and acumen. I bet this boss is smarter than you give him credit for and I'd also bet you could learn a lot from him if you paid attention. One example would be how to use spell check.

different job is the best answer.
or move within that company.
in the meantime try to do what little things you can without trying to get your boss to change his ideas.
