I don't know about cooler, most of the trends now-a-days seem to come out of the US, although we have started a few of our own - remember the Sinclair 5?
I do think we are more laid back though and more open to other things. The US seen a bit brain-washed into believing that they are the centre of the universe and we all rotate round them.

If you gage it by the reactions to criticism on this site, then yes, English people are way cooler than Americans.

I dont know what you mean by cooler , but if is what I think ,the English are MORE cold hearted , stuck up Europeans that walk on this planet!

Although both have temperate climates, I believe the U.K. is generally cooler overall. But they have nothing on American Eskimos!

english are much more down to earth logical and practical as for americans they scare easily
which makes them incredibley dangerous to our living planet, U american! $$$$ yourselves if anything moves and then you blow the holy cr$$ out of any breathable living entity...have a nice day!!!
