An article on this question would be virtually impossible to write because of the tremendous scope of the question. However, there are many books that can give you an overall picture of Nazi control and allow to draw some of your own conclusions. From an historical standpoint, it is important to get the full picture of the ituation in Nazi Germany. Unless you have an understanding of the governmental control of pre-Nazi Germany, it will be difficult to get a firm grasp on the level of control exhibited by the Nazis and whether or not that level of control was unusual.

Check out the book "Hitler's Scientists". It illustrates many points of German life that came under Nazi control and helps you understand how the Jews were marginalized and persecuted before the death camps even opened.
