Why do women buy new shoes when they have 100 pairs in their closet and pairs that they have only worn one time. If my wife an I sold all of the shoes she owns, we would be as rich as Bill Gates. She has a room only for shoes!!!!

Because men are visual and women know y'all judge us by how we look, plus other women judge too. So...we want to look good and that includes shoes for every outfit.
What I do suggest though, is that the two of you establish a household budget to be sure you are NOT running up big debt on shoes (or anything else either of you buys) and to be sure you are saving enough of your income every month for retirement, college for the kids, a house or whatever other goals you two may have.
Once you have your "gotta do" stuff handled each month, then you can each have cash to blow as you choose. Then if she wants a million pairs of shoes, so what? At least your lifestyle is not being compromised.
OH...and have her consider selling on Ebay the pairs that are in great condition, but she knows she won't wear again. That way she can recover the cash to buy....new shoes! It also cuts down on necessary storage space.
Now see..you could have married an ugly woman that didn't care about fashion, but you didn't. So...you're just going to have to deal with her desire to keep looking good...again, just make sure it doesn't bust the budget.

Men can get away with two pair of dress shoes, black and brown, and still look well-dressed. Women are expected to have shoes that coordinate with their clothes, wear different kinds of shoes for each season, and wear different heels depending on where they are going. Also, shoes that can be worn with a dress or skirt can't be worn with pants in many cases.
I also think that we like shoes cos they show off our legs. Some women keep buying more shoes cos they never get comfortable ones, and they keep trying. Others want a pair to match each ensemble they wear.
Honestly, shoes are like potato chips. You can't stop once you get started.

Because
1. No matter how fat or slimm you are, they will fit perfectly.
2. No matter how beautiful the dress is, if you do not have the proper shoes every thing falls down.
3.Where ever you're up to, you need the proper shoes to get there...:)

I just LOVE shoes! Last year I bought 9 pairs in the period less of 2 months...It's hard to explain it, I just see a nice pair of shoes and I have to have it :)

Women usually have to buy something to make themselves feel good, to celebrate an event, or just when they go shopping. They could buy nice food, but most women are weight-conscious. They could buy clothes, but that's expensive and some women feel self-conscious about their bodies. They could buy jewelry or make-up but not everyone likes to wear jewelry or make-up, and they would be considered vain to spend so much money on their appearance. So in the end, most women end up buying shoes. It makes sense, shoes make you look good and feel good without being super expensive or adding on weight, shoes won't make you feel guilty or fat.

I love shoes too! We buy shoes just to match an outfit or if there at a price you can't pass up. Sometimes we buy the shoe and then find an outfit for it later. Were funny that way , but you gotta love us for our crazy ways!

You have to have shoes to match your clothes . What I want to know is how did the high heels get started. Women wear the shoes to look sexy 4 guys so which guy thought it was sexy for women to kill themselves in 5 in heels. Ouch!

does she look good in them?? do they look nice w/her alphets?? If so stop complaining...
women like to accessorize.. we like for our shoes and bags to match and then sometimes we're not in the mood for loofers, or heels so we need back ups.. i mean we need to be able to choose from a variety of shoes..
would u rather her complain about not having nothing to wear cause she has no shoes to match her alphet????
