He is mean nasty and hateful. He always verbally abuse me , my mom and brother

Hate is a strong word. But don't get me wrong I think it's possible. But saying he's dead to you well, that's a little hard to do if U live with him. I hope you're not allowing him to call you, your mom, and even your brother names, cuz this could have a tremendous effect on you guys. Speak to your mom about having a talk with him. I hope it is only verbal abuse, sad to say, cuz physical is a bigger crime. I usually never recommend therapy, but you may want to get yourself and your brother into it. If anything protect the family. Hands hurt, but so do words. Don't stand, or sit for it. PROTECT YOUR FAMILY!
