I know its a bit of an old one but "ALWAYS READ THE LABEL"
Just to be on the safe side.
As much advice as we could all give you in here, we are not doctors etc (That I am aware of). So for something like this, I would recommend just reading the instructions/Dosages recommendations on the back of the box or tube.
At least that way you will get the answer and it is one from the professionals.
Also, call the midwife/nurse or Health visitor if you are not 100%.
They are the people you need to ask things like this, after all, it's your baby.
Hope all goes well and the little bambino don't have it to rough with the teething!
By the way, have a routine for feeding, if you feed every time they cry, youre building a rod for your back, again, ask the health visitor about this one :)

Your baby can show signs of teething several months before they actually do. The teeth move up slowly but takes a while to break through the skin. At 3 months it is ok to give them stuff to chew on but I wouldn't put anything on his gums right now. At his 4 month apt the doctor will tell you if the teeth are close to breaking through or if they are just moving up slowly. Your baby should be eating about every 3-4 hours. If he is crying more than than there could be other issues...

yes, they make teething gel that is especially for babies. Also...no it is not good to feed everytime they cry. Try rocking or talking to the baby. Give the baby something to chew on if he is teething. Also sometimes crying is helpful in clearing fluid in the lungs so it is good to let them cry it out for a few minutes. A lot of times they will fall asleep after a good cry and then you will have a little quiet :)

You shouldn't give a baby teething gel until they are 4 months old. Most teething gel tubes state this on the back. And babies cry for different reasons, so try to do something different, like changing, playing with, bathing, burping the baby before feeding.

Babies can teeth at anytime, some babies are even born with teeth!!!
Teething gel containers will state the age they are safe from, usually 3 or 4 months. Try homeopathic teething crystals (UK, they sell them in Boots). If it's really bad a dose of calpol might help.
I fed both my babies on demand, both are extremely happy healthy children, both got into their own routine at an early age and both slept through the night from 2 weeks old.
Babies won't feed unless they are hungry, they usually just bring it back up if they are full.
If you are still unsure, ask your midwife or health visitor. Good luck to you both, it won't last forever. In a few months time you won't remember the awful times just the good ones.

The best thing for teething is Highlands Teething Tablets.
You can find them in the baby area at your local wal mart near the pacifiiers. They are all natural and they work alot better than orajel. I use them on my little boy and they ease him alot. On top of that give your baby a teething ring but watch the ones that are clear and are like circles attatched because they can cut up the gums and they have alot of recalls on them.
The best is to get the shape ones or the ones they are colorful. They have those at wal mart to they are like orange, purple, and if Iam not mistaken they have blue too.
Good Luck I know how yall feel teething is the pits..

I would be very careful giving him teething gel. With my first child I did that and she choked on her saliva. I only put a tiny drop on her gums and apparently her it numbed her too much. Try teething rings. Put them in the fridge for a few minutes. Also try wash cloths. I put one in the freezer in a zip lock bag and that did wonders.(take the was cloth out of the bag of course) They also have these teething pellets. They dissolve in the mouth. Those are also for fussiness. They are sold at drug stores, but I can't remember what they are called. Just ask the pharmacist. At your child's age, he should be eating every 4 hours. I wouldn't feed him every time he cries. He might want attention. Try playing with him and reading a book. That should keep him from crying a lot. Good luck

My boy is 11 weeks and has been showing signs of teething for the last 2 weeks. I can now feel his little teeth gently coming through when I run my finger across his gums. Give your baby special rubber water filled toys, you can get them from Tesco for as little as £1.97 to chew on. You can also give Bonjela for babies teething, with strawberry taste suitable for 0+months. Enjoy the dribbling. And yes it is ok to feed the baby everytime he cries, he needs a lot of comforting especially now he's teething. You won't spoil him, but if it bothers you give him a pacifier.

It depends whats in the teething powder, if its a natural remedy with no drugs in then this should be fine. It should say on the teething powder packet if you can or cant use other medications. If hes crying because he is hungry then of course feed him as often as you like, if he wont feed when he cries then you will know hes not crying because he is hungry.

Buy a teething ring if you feel he could be teething. Don't feed the baby everytime he cries , check out other possibilities of why he might be crying, needing a nappy change, having wind, feeling too hot or too cold, feeling tired etc.
