One style of pantyhose looks sheerer than the other.

Denier is the sheerness of the material.

Contacted L'eggs by email. They responded by saying that L'eggs did not have a number for the sheerness. There has got to be an information sheet of the nylon yarn thickness. I think that is how the denier is determined.

I looked and looked for the exact answer and found none. You could try to contact L'eggs directly at this web page:
http://www.leggs.com/contact.asp.
My guess would be a denier of 8, 10 or 15. I know for a fact Victoria's Secret pantyhose come in 15 denier.

L'eggs "Sheer Energy" Revitalizing Sheer, Medium Support Leg & Sheer Vitality are ALL 30 Denier!
Revitalizing Sheer (discontinued) were the silkiest. Medium Support Leg are a little less silky yet more durable
with slightly higher compression.
Sheer Vitality (recently discontinued) are similar to Medium Support Leg with higher compression & sag less.
Unfortunately they are all manufactured in Pakistan & Thailand with horrible quality control.
You will be extremely lucky if the size you purchase is correct. Not to mention, each leg being of equal length and not twisted. Hanes could corner the market if they improved their quality control, introduced more colors, styles and sizes !!!

Until I know what "denier" means I can't answer your question.
