Diva:

1. An operatic prima donna.
2. A very successful singer of nonoperatic music: a jazz diva.

Supermodel:
An extremely successful and internationally famous fashion model.

A diva is a leading, possibly arrogant woman and a supermodel is a supermodel -- they model.

There is indeed a clear cut difference.

A "diva" is actually a reeeeeeeeally good singer, especially a soprano or mezzo-soprano. She may or not be physically attractive, but her singing will knock you out!

A "supermodel" is a female model who is "discovered" by a major modelling agency, and featured in/on expensive magazines. She may or may not be able to sing. Guaranteed she is not allowed to eat!

You may be confusing "diva" with "prima donna", the girl who thinks she is "all that and a bag of potato chips" with her talent.
