By "South," I mean NC, SC, TN, GA, AL, FL, MS, LA, AR, OK, and TX. Also, the EXTREME southern parts of the following states: KY, MO, and VA (like the southernmost 20 miles.)
I WISH I was from the South--I'm actually from upstate Kentucky, b/t Louisville and Lexington. Most parts of KY, MO, and VA don't count, and MD, WV, DE, KS, IL, and IN certainly don't count. Sorry, ya'll!
I like the South, mostly because people are more polite, better mannered, and the weather, while it gets hot and sticky during the summer, is relatively comfortable year-round. I'd LOVE to live down there!

I'm from east of Knoxville TN (ridge of mountains) and originally from Harlan KY. I love the south especially east TN and west South Carolina and northern Georgia. A very beautiful area and perfect weather. The people are the most polite, well-behaved and respectful people I have ever met. They stay out of your business, respect the way you choose to live, your property etc.. is yours and you have the right to do with how you choose (as long it doesnt interfere with someone else's rights), very family orientated, family sticks together, morals and a logical approach to life (if you mess with someone life you are asking for trouble and when that trouble happens then dont *****) These are only a few things I like about the south and I would never choose to live anywhere else

I am from GA. I have lived all over GA. I grew up in Southwest GA on the Florida line. I went to college in Northwest GA and then in Southeast GA. I moved to middle GA to work. Then we transfered to the North GA mountains and now we live near the South Carolina line in East GA. My husband and I both agree that we would only live in GA. I love the South too.

I'm from the Southern part of Kentucky and I love it here, it's peaceful, quiet, mountains all around. Around here the most exciting part of the day is when the dog starts barking at someone who's just walking by, lol.
You couldn't pay me to move to a city, I'm a country girl and that aint never gonna change, lol.

I am in South Carolina...the southern part! I have lived here my whole life. Yeah, it's hot, but we don't have to shovel snow!! I love the southern foods...boiled peanuts ....yummy! We are polite and hospitable. Ya'll come!!

I love the south. Florida is the best place to live. I used to live in Miami. now i live in Gainesville Fla. GO GATORS
