Wow.
If I could offer any advice it would be towards strategy.
It could be said that emancipating Afro-Americans lead to (among other things) the civil unrest of the '50's and 60's. Does that mean emancipation was a bad thing? The issue of family disintegration or tension may actually be true, but this should be seen as a temporary but expected response to change. All components of a society go through turbulent periods on a macro and micro level. Families are no different. It isn't family disintegration that is occuring; it is a transformation that will hopefully begin a new period of equality for both genders. Just imagine the healthy and evolved attitudes of children borne into this kind of environment!
You have probably noticed I would argue against the motion, but use the motion itself to support my position.

I think you should speak for this argument. Women pushed so hard for equality and rights, etc, and now that we have those things, all we can complain about is how we don't have time to do anything. I for one would love to be a stay at home mom, but I cannot afford to do that. Had I been in the same situation fifty years ago, it would not be something I'd have to worry about. Women are hardwired to be caretakers, givers, emotional, and with work and everything else nowadays, it is hard to focus so much attention on the family. Good luck, hope I could help!

The growing freedom of women in society has made a great and positive change in women today.
at the YWCA they talk about womens rights being in its best time ever, but there is still much work to be done to continue the fight for womens rights in the world.
http://www.ywca.org/site/ is a great place to look for more information on this.
Good Luck with this.................LOL

yes it may have but change often leads to tension, many of us are afraid of change. but the results are often worth it. Like the Black empowerment campaigns in the USA and South Africa.

And the same thing goes for women campaigning for the right to vote in the UK.

But seeing you are in favour of the motion concentrate on the increase in divoirce and broken families since this emancipation has started. Mention the need of childern for proper role models etc
