They already had bombarded the way to Qana, and so it took 7 hours to come and help them.
I just wonder why some people close their eyes to the truth.
Devil lives in Israel! Actually, they have this crazy belief that this land is theirs, even though their messiah hasn't come yet and they cannot claim it as their land until he comes. So technically, they shouldn't even be there. The only reason they're still alive is because the US backs them up. Otherwise, the Germans or the Arabs would have wiped them off the face of this earth. They're horrible people. They bombed hospitals, escape roads, airports, bus stations. They bombed civilians trying to escape in cars and buses, and they bombed a PREDESIGNATED UN PEACEKEEPING LOOKOUT! All that over two soldiers? Yes, I must admit that Hezb-allah is retaliating, but what would you do if bombs are being dropped over your head. You'd fight back any way you can.

To all of you brain-washed-by-the-media -
Did you ever stoped for a minute to think while observing the FACTS?

-The Israeli admitted that they attacked the village after having identified missile launches from it.
-This attack was around 0:00 to 1:00 am.
There was no indication that the same building was destroyed during that attack.
-The rescue forces strated to evcuate people only around 8:00 am - at least seven hours after the time the building supposedly destroyed !
-At around that time the Israeli did not attack the village.

This means only one thing: HIZBULA PEOPLE WERE THE ONE WHO DESTROYED THE BUILDING ! They knew they can blame it easily on Israel. They knew that it already attacked the village so they wouldn't deny it. They are not stupid and they are aware Israel never denies It's mistakes. But there was none such this time. After the attack of IDF hizbula took many of the village people and told them to get inside the building, either holding them by force or promising them that's it's safe there. The building was full of ammunition and once the people inside, hizbula blew it with the people inside!
That is why several hours past between the time of Israeli attack and the time of rescue forces arrival.
Why else it took them 7 hours to call for rescue?
Why else did propoganda T.V. station"Al-jazira" arrived exactly at the same time - 8:00 - prime time for sending horrific pictures to shock the world.
Hizbula are well aware that this village - Qana - is notorious for what happend there 10 years ago. This is why they quickly popped a name for it - "the massacre of Qana 2".
It was all carefully planned. All the foriegn press never stopped to try and investigate what realy happened there. The truth is not good anough any way. What sells more ratings is the story of massacare by Israeli's and hizbula fed them with exactly what they wanted to hear and broadcast.
Never mind the fact that those people were asked to evacuate in advance (do you knoewof any army who does that? Does hizbula warn people in Israel before they shoot at them?). Never mind the fact that during that time Qiryat Shmona was bombed with more than 100 missiles ! The media fell for that trick like a fly to a spider's web.
As for the Lebaneese -
If Lebanese people or hizbula cared for innocents they wouldn't charge them so much for taxi. The Lebanese government and people would have taken care that every body in those villages would evacuate like in the Israeli side. There, people help one another to evacuate away from the missile range without trrying to get some profit out of it. There, the government help people to find shelter. The Lebanese don't do that because they want to worsen the people's situation in order to get sympathy from europe nations so they would press Israel to cease fire.
Those people also could get help from Syria or Iran which send and operate hizbula thereby leading to total destruction of this country. But you can be sure that Nassarala and Ahamadinajad are sitting far away and laughing over the blood of those people, knowing that their trick has worked.
All I can say to you is don't buy all the lies spreaded to you by CNN,BBC,SKY and others. They tell you only what they want you to know and not the whole truth.

It's all very good for Israel to issue a warning, but where do they expect these people to go? Will they allow them as refugees in Israel? I don't think so. It is unfortunate that Israel feels it necessary to bomb innocents who take the precaution of carrying a "white flag". It is equally disturbing that they bomb clearly marked Red Cross vehicles. Isn't it also a shame that, not only did the IDF hit the UN observation post last week, it hit a UN office in Qana 10 years ago, killing more than 100. With all this sophisticated equipment, including "smart" weaponry supplied by the US, it is "amazing" how stupid the IDF is to not be able to use it properly. Or am I naive? (LOL!)

Double standard much? The excuse of "it was a mistake", gets tiresome VERY quickly.

I think this is an excellent question.

I generally side to some degree with Israel on this war, but the idea that they are dropping pamphlets doesn't excuse them. They give citizens no real opportunity to escape, then expect dropping papmhlets to absolve them from criticism by the world? Very, very, very cheap stunt, that's all that aspect is.

Oh, and irbid_mix:
Israel did resume air strikes AFTER one of their tanks was hit by an anti-tank missile. Maybe you need to get in touch with ALL of the facts. Only then can you plead a convincing case for your point of view. I'm not saying you don't have a case ... but your arguments are weak, and need to account for ALL the facts.

And Mr. Y,
While I do think Israel attemts to target Hezbollah artillery sites, and I think Hezbollah brought this on Lebanon, this is NO valid evidence yet that Hezbollah brought this bombing upon the citizens in Qana. Israel made a horrific mistake, just horrible. Deal with it... Isreal's military killed a large number of children.

Hezbollah sets up their rocket launchers in highly populated areas. The Israelis have the choice of letting Hezbollah comtinue firing into Israel killing whoever happens to be in the way, or fighting back, even though they know Hezbollah is using civilians as shields.
The Lebanonese are the ones who should kick Hezbollah out of their country. If they approve of what Hezbollah is doing, they have to be willing to pay the price.
Why was Qana targetted ??? Easy, that's where many rocket launchers were set up.
If Lebanon invites terriorists to operate from their country, they have to suffer along with the terriorists when pay-back time comes.

my husband is lebanese and used to live there in that city qana he said its approximately 2 miles..thats a whole city..why woul;d they bother blwoing it up and attacking such a small place, thepeople who were hiding in that building were poor so the warning to leave was meaningless since they cant. israel claims they had no idea there was human life in a building and had they known they wudnt have done that..contradictory cuz they had to have known to send those leaflettes. im sick of this crap and all the lying. it doesnt matter what u say or do now u have killed these innocent children and nothing can bring them back. they had no proof there was a rocket launcher there that footage was from south lebanon.

Hey Ben;

Also in light of the fact that the cab drivers were chargeing $300. to $400. for a cab ride to the Syrian boarder. Not everyone had that much money to pay to get out. It's almost like the people who got stuck in New Orleans when Katrina hit.

Then consider that Israel has bombed civilians in caravans that were attempting to leave ... Red Cross ambulances and rescue teams have been hit by Israeli explosives and also the UN Outposts getting hit ... and people dying.

Lebanon IS a member of NATO. Where the hell is the Global Cavelry?!

Away from Hezbolla strongholds. Israel is after Hezbolla, not the Lebonese people.

I am not for this or any war, but Hezbolla has been threatening Israel for a long time and are entrenched in Southern Lebanon. This was bound to happen and the innocents are suffering for it.

As I mentioned in another question, I would walk, run, swim, climb and crawl to protect my children from death. Screw the house! If I was ignorant and selfish enough to put my childrens lives in jeopardy over some monetary property, I shouldn't have children in the first place! This is a perfect example of a mother who would raise her boys to be anti-Israel and pro-Hizbollah! Did you ever think that maybe the Hizbollah told them they'd be safe there??

They asked them to get out today, and they told them that they will stop the bombing for 48 hours till everybody leaves and a few hours later they bombed again, they are killed if they stayed and they would be killed on the road if they left.
