I go barefoot all the time..and I am 53! Nothing like the feeling of newly mown grass on my feet. Summertime is perfect for it..but watch out for hot asphalt...eeeeowww! :)

Unless I have to wear shoes to enter a business that strictly enforces shoes required, or I am at a workplace that has a dress code of closed shoes, or it is actually larger blister/third degree burn asphalt temperature (such as in Phoenix AZ middle of summer)... I will definitely go around barefooted as much as possible even if I get daily asphalt blackened burned soles and occasional healable blisters (no larger than the size of a US quarter coin).

I did indeed, built up some great callouses on my feet when I was a kid. I love being barefoot, I try to go that way as much as possible.

I did when I was young, and for a long time, the soles of my feet were so calloused that I could walk on broken glass as easily as plush carpeting. We also rolled around the neighborhood in empty refrigerator boxes, but I guess that wasn't so common because I'm still getting made fun of for it.

Never wore shoes from June to September!! The bottoms of my feet were so tough I could run through briars & not feel them. Sad state of affairs, tho, I went outside the other day to get stuff outta my car - road was so hot it burned my toes & I had to "Hot foot" back in the house to get my flip-flops!!!!! those were the great ol days, huh???

I'm always barefooted at home. When I go out I wear flip flops, sandals, or tennis shoes.

I love being barefooted. I've spent my entire summer practically in flipsflips or in my barefeet.
