S/S watch straps need to be washed at least once a week if not daily after u have perspired in the heat during work or play or just from perspiring. Get a old tooth brush & rub it against any soap from a try u use to bath with & brush the strap front to back but holding the face of watch protecting it from servere brushing in case the watch is not "water resistent". Make sure u brush the strap grooves, where the dirt sticks onto & has accumulated with the dust & perspiration.
Rinse with running tap water is all u do & wipe dry. Use a kitchen paper & wipe it hard where the back of watch face has grooves too. Watch srtaps have to be cleaned or rinsed soon as u have taken it off to shower after a sweaty day out. If u dont it will stick on & smell foul so please wash all watch straps & for leather straps u need to wipe it with a damp towel too. U can buy a spray for waterproofing it before use like for certain fabrics.

I know this may sound like it will be hard to find but it isn't. There is this polisher called varnish and cleans any thing from stainless steel watches like yours to gold and silver jewelry. You just rub it on and let it sit for ten minutes and then wipe it off. Don't let it get on the glass though. You don't have to use a lot. There are many different brands but you can find the one that is the best for you. You probably can get it at Wal-Mart or HEB. I hope this has been helpful to you.

There is no universal way to repair, clean, or polish all stainless steel surfaces: you must use different methods for different finishes. They are not without risk, the only safe way being to send the watch to a jeweler. But if you are adventurous and persistent, the results can be very rewarding.

Stainless steel is not supposed to rust. It can gather dust or grease giving it a dirty appearance. If the watch has water proof seals, it can be dipped in any mild detergent solution and cleansed with a tooth brush. If ultrasonic cleaner bath is available, it is best.

A soft bristle tooth brush and a bit of liquid or gel soap. Do not use any granular detergent as the grit may scratch the surface. I've heard that some people use toothpaste to clean their jewelry, but I would be a little hesitant as most toothpastes have grit; necessary to remove surface plaque. Then wipe with a damp cloth. That should do the trick.

IF you have got perfume or after shave or any alchol, you can wipe the steel strap using a soft cloth using a little of the above mentioned liquid but do not use the liquid on the watch dial .
It will damage it in the sense the glass will lose its glow..only use a soft wet cloth for the dial and wipe it twice or thrice to get the glowing effect. You will have the watch good and new..

First, take a moist cloth and wipe the watch. Take another moist cloth, soak it in vinegar, and wipe the watch with it. Once you've done this a few times, take some toothpaste (the ones without fluoride) and use the wet cloth/a toothbrush/ something to scrub with. Take another vinegar-soaked cloth and wipe it. Finally, clean it off with a water soaked towel. That should do the trick.
If it still doesn't work, take it to a watch store/jeweller and ask them to fix it for you. Hope this helps :)
