without a doubt this is the hardest walnut I have ever encountered. The nutcracker wouldn't crack it. What should I use to bust it.

Don't try busting the nut for a week or two, hold back. The pressure within the nut will build to a critical level. Then attempt to bust it. Make sure a window is open, you wouldn't want to drown. Thanx for the ten points!
