Either ignore them, or as them this..."Have you finally figured out that the whole world is against you yet?" And no one really cares!!!

Tell the person straight up that you find their complaining a bit to much to handle. Inform them that life is good but short so to move on and try to look for some positive things. Hopefully if they are an adult they can take these words from you and learn from them. Best of luck.

Make him or her confused by answering an irrelevant subject. Do it twice or trice. Soon it'll make him/her reliase that you are not interested in sharing such talks. If it continues ignore that person and leave the place.

i deal with someone like that - they act like a 5 yr old wen they're older than me! it gets really frustrating but u just try and let them know gently - coz telling them forcefully will only lead to tantrums! - that they're being immature, and that ur annoyed, then try and wait till they grow up!
i know its hard - i dont always take my own advice - but its better to try and see if u can stop the immature behaviour before it gets outta control!
good luck!

speak up, let them know you are sick of hearing it..
ditch them for awhile, until it stops...the complainer might get the hint, and you can have a comfortable relationship again...

Flat out tell them that you don't want to hear it and walk away. Eventually they will get the message.
