What exactly are chemical gardens?????

i heard that chemical gardens are those where a transition element is put into molten glass and that sor of diffuses to form a tree like structure or shape ..... i would like to more about these chemical gardens.... someone tell me

You need water glass, basically a Sodium silicate soln and cystals of inorganic salts. You can get them at a Chemist.
