Let's see...It's going to be around 100 degrees outside today and the AC is out and it's going to cost about $1200 to fix that. Because of the drought, the water line under the kitchen has sprung a leak and the there's now a good sized pool covering the kitchen floor (about $2000 to fix). I can't afford to shop. lol
Oh yeah...and to make matters worse? I have to pack the house up and move within the next 3 months. Yes, I am looking forward to Christmas, but I won't be shopping for some time and considering the financial hit I'm about to take on house repairs, everyone is getting something homemade this year... thank God I'm creative and crafty.

Most of my Christmas shopping is done. I started in January...mostly going to antique shops and unique gift shops. I got my brother a crawfish made from a spark plug, wire and nuts and bolts. It has metal "gator" claws that you can put a business card in. My brother has everything and so I have to really be creative about his gifts. I got Indian jewelry and gifts for everyone else while I was on vacation in Arizona and New Mexico this past February. I am really looking forward to Christmas this year because my mom and sister will be here together for the first time (we usually have Christmas elsewhere).

If Christmas was what it was meant to be about then I would really look forward to it, everyone whinges for months on end about how much they have to spend on people they don't like, they end up drunk as skunks on Christmas eve and have a hangover most of Christmas day, you sit round a table eating a meal you don't want cause it took so long to cook and your nearly choking to death making conversation with people you would rather not talk to, yeah Christmas is great, not, but no I haven't started shopping yet cause this year were going to make a donation to guide dogs for the blind, better than buying pressies for people who don't appreciate them and were going away on holiday somewhere nice, sunny and relaxing.

Yes I'm shopping, like to get things done before the crowds in the stores. I always look forward to Christmas. I look forward to celebrating the birth of Jesus and getting together with family and friends.

I would look forward to it more, if I could get all my shopping done without having to deal with the malls. Maybe I should start shopping online. No, I have not started yet. I usually don't start until December and then I have to fight the crowds with all the other procrastinators like me!
