I'm just an old guy(43), so my opinion may be worth nothing to you......but... Wear conservative clothes that you admire on other people. Not real progressive clothes that are way on the edge, just conservative clothes that you admire. The reason being that you want people to notice you, not your clothes. When I see someone really dressed in cutting edge stuff that makes a very loud statement of one kind or another, I remember the clothes, not the person. Let your class mates get to know you first, then build your fashion to what ever you want it to be to dress to impress people that already know and appreciate you for you.

hey i'm majoring in fashion so i think i can help.

just remember to be comfortable and not be self-concious.. that's the worst feeling you can have on the first day of school! =]

try these stores::

hollister, abercrombie, H&M, charlotte russe, aeropostale, american eagle, delias, forever 21, bloomingdales.. and sometimes the GAP has cute widebelts and light jackets.

try to look in teen magazines.. such as elle [my internship!! =] seventeen, cosmogirl.. and see if you find outfits you like.. then try and match them up in those stores i gave you.

try...

widebelts.. big white sunglasses.. little skirts from abercrombie or aeropostale... cargo capris and bermudas.. light washed jeans with a FEW rips.. don't go overboard.. and also regular dark ones [skinny jeans] ... then.. try some light jackets.. look on www.gap.com.. they have good ones.. try the jackets over a cute shirt with a widebelt.. that's a great outfit!!! with jeans or bermudas. also.. try beaded jewelry.. that's really in and really cute!
try flats too.. they're really cute.

umm try to make some outfits from these things and i'm sure you'll look GORGEOUS!

good luck!! xox- manda,, if u have any questions.. just ask =]

I think you should just dress very sleek, not like every other teen girl, maybe dress it up a little bit. I would wear:

A pair of black slacks
A great button gown shirt, a little conservative, but trendy to. Maybe go with a white one that has some outstanding detailing on it.
A pair of pointed toed heels/flats
A great handbag of good quality
Some great jewelry some CZ studs/ simple strand of pearls.

Wear something that YOU think looks good on you.
Most importantly... keep your chin up. People notice confidence before clothing. If you feel good about yourself, and are confident... people will take notice.

I am not big on fashion but what ever it is don't forget the smile.

I know queer as queer can be,but that'll be your best fashion accessory.
