mauritius is my island and it is very beautiful and very famous for it beaches.it is very small and am sure many people dn't knw abt it.it is knwn as the paradise island:)

Mauritius is a small island nation in the Indian Ocean off Africa,
it's full of very rare species of animal and bird,
and it's very hard to get Visas to visit there.
It's where Dodo birds used to live.
My mother's been there to see the lemurs.

It is an island off the east coast of the African continent. It was colonized by the Dutch, but became French in the early part of the 1700's and captured by the British in the 1800's.
It is also a great place to visit.
