Usually (statistically) people who do not continue onwards to some form of higher education (whether it is Universities & Colleges or trade schools) do not become millionaires. But it also does not mean that higher education guarantees the $$$.

I have given a lot of thought about our society and I find it worse to be middle class. We look at the upper class people and wish we were them and say how unfair it is, then we look at the lower class and say "I will give my money / time / energy to make sure they do not feel bad -- unlike those rich people up there who won't help me!"

But the bottom line about having the million dollars is that you need to be able to have your money work for you. I truly believe that everyone can learn this -- to a certain extent. However, to truly have the financial independance at 35, you need to start at 15. It is and perhaps always will be all about "investments".

It is not only a toy of the rich. I have recently met more and more "seemingly" middle class people whose lives are a lot better than I thought. People who can freely find the $10,000 they need for a hospital bill, or who can afford to give their wife who does not golf, a membership at a golf club for $50,000.

When I talk to these people, they are the ones that have known about investments since they were teens and have took the time to learn about it correctly and how money actually works in this world. These are the people who become millionaires. They can also go to school, or not...the $$$ comes from what they learn through life and not so much in school.

Because ppl with no qualifications, they work their butt off and once when one is in a desperate situation, they always try to find a way out. And when you work hard to find a way out, eventually you do. We often hear those without qualification made it big and these are all hard works. there are many who are without qualifications too that didnt make it. But when any of them does make it, the whole world knows about it. Why? because they were the underdogs. But their success doesnt speak for the entire population.

As for those with diplomas and degrees and so on.. Most of them strive to be a professional. Looking for a secure, glamourous, well paid job. But in the end of the day, they are all wage earners. To know that they spent their entirely lives getting a qualification to be just a wage earners and most wage earners doesnt become a millionaire. As for those without qualification, they have less alternative of working as a professional, hence many venture into their own business which in the end becomes really big and when they do started to hire those degree holders wage earners.

The secret of being a millionaire is not just about qualfication. It is about doing business. Business is where all the money is. Being a wage earner/professional is working for ppl. You get job security and is less risky but it doesnt make u a millionaire quickly. Why work for ppl when u can make ppl work for you. That way, only the sky could be a limit to what u can achieve. Work hard and smart and whether you have qualifications or not, you will make it. Opportunities are always there for anyone willing enough to strive hard to get it. The real world and the academic world is truly different. It is a jungle out there, only the strong reign supreme.

Having a degree or diploma does not necessary make you a bright person. I have a degree etc and know loads of people with degrees who are not particularly bright. Its either you have it oryou dont and its also about persistence, determination. and committment. With these qualities you can achieve anything you want to achieve. Nothing is not impossible. If your the type that can stay in the bedroom for days and days reading and learning and studying and making sure you understand certain things then eventually you will achieve. The brain is complex but with persistence etc you will make it but one has to be realistic about ones capabilities. I would not concentrate on learning how to be an air pilot when perhaps i innate skills would be best suited to say Marketing. If you are a good talker when may be managerial. lecturer etc would be better. It also depends on your genetical ability on a mental and physical level coupled with education, life experience and the type of friends you hang around with that can motivate or demotivate you. It also depends on how much sacrifice you can give.

good idea, hard work, people skills. All the successful entrepreneurs have these skills, whether or not they have a piece of paper from State U. that says they can work in the real world.

That is why I tell my students that I advise that it doesn't matter what major is on a person's degree, it's the marketable skills that one possesses and can apply.

Colleges nowadays do not teach problem solving, critical thinking, and teamwork like they used to, and these are some of the most important employable traits.

they don't USUALLY, it's just something to put in the news when they do. They're not going to talk about the guy who got a diploma and got a job where they became a millionare, unless it's a small-time thing. The majority of people who have a diploma get good jobs, as far as I know.

To be super successful you need many attributes.
A diploma is not high on this list but a good work ethic and unflagging determination would be.
Some dumb college kids may think they can buy this elite level of success with great grades..... but looking good on paper will only guarantee that you get your foot in the door.... so i guess it pays to make sure your education not too one sided and that your expectations not too naive.

A very tiny, extremely tiny portion of the general population is so gifted that their gifts bring them to "greatness" without needing education.

For the rest of us, a college degree, over your lifetime, will bring you more $ than just having a high school diploma.

Don't forget that Bill Gates, Michael Dell, etc. were in the top schools before they dropped out pursue their enterprise.

You need to have iron before you can make a magnet out of it.

Ask me about it, I dropped out of school too. Regret it till today.

a good idea and hard work

as for bill gates ~ other peoples ideas ~ some hard work then buying other peoples work

which is what micro$oft mostly does now ~ if you have a good idea/company they like and dont wanna compete with they buy you out (well they used to operate like this and prob still do)

There are a few people without formal education who worked hard and made it big in the business world. You know most of their names because they were so unusual - imagine! someone making it without education!

However, the truly successful have higher education credentials in 99% of the cases.
