Well, sometimes when you go and search for something on the web it is the general definition or description of something. When you talk to people who actually are this and that, or have it, know it, what have you, sometimes you become more acquainted with it.
For example, you have to use a word in your vocabulary in order to really get to know the word.
In the same way, you talk to real people who already know something directly, so that you could learn something faster perhaps, or get familiar with it more quickly. :)
