Better to put in contacts first... that way you can see what you're doing, and you won't smear your makeup later. I don't know about you lot but my Asian eyes aren't wide so I need to hold my lids open to put them in - that makes it pretty impossible to put the contacts after I do my makeup!

They tell you to do your eye makeup first, then put in your contacts, but I never have. First off, I'm blind without my contacts, and secondly, sometimes your eyes will water a little when you put them in, therefore ruining the work you just spent on your makeup! I've done my eyes with contacts in for 10 years and never had a problem.

My sister wears contacts; she is near sighted. So she puts hers in after. Reason? She doesn't want to get her eye make up on her contacts. She said she did a couple of times in college when she was rushing and then had to take them back out, clean them, put them back in. She hated wasting the time, so now she leaves them out until she's done. If you are far sighted, then you probably need them to see what you are doing if your eyes are bad enough, but if you are near sighted, then maybe putting them in after would work for you, too.

After. If you put on make up before you run the risk of getting the make up on the contacts and it will irritate your eyes.

I have contacts and it is way better to put makeup on after because when you are putting your contacts in, your makeup can get smeared or ruined. If you are having trouble with your eyeshadow falling into your contacts and making your eyes hurt, then go with a cream eyeshadow! =)

thats a rele good question. ive had contacts since 4th grade and im a sophmore now. ive come to the comclusion to put them in FIRST b/c if you put on the makeup first, it might get on the contacts as yer putting them or the solution might make yer makeup run a little

I put the contacts in first and make sure they are comfortable, then makeup.
