I hope to have my own business, that is my own medical practice, to be in shape to do all the hard work, to be a respectful surgeon and be married but no kids

Well, 35 is only a decade away for me..

I'd have to say that I would like to achieve my goals of:
1. Family: Finally becoming a mother. Maybe have a couple kids by then. And to continue to be a good wife & friend to my husband.
2. Health: To be physically fit, and at my desired weight. (Even after kids)
3. Hobby/Career: To have been able to help others. Whether in Nursing or Teaching, in Scouting and/or Volunteer Work. AND perhaps to have been able to start a family business.
4. Finance: To be financially stable. NOT rich, but also not having to worry about paying the bills for that month, or buying groceries.

Love this question!! I was a late-bloomer: got married young, stayed married for almost 13 yrs. (no kids...husband got mumps and became sterile, 'tho we didn't realize it at the time)...got divorced.
My kids were born in my 30s/40s (new relationship/marriage).

Didn't really get into a job I loved or was good at 'til about 7 yrs ago. Also now write free-lance weekly newspaper column (always wanted to write and get paid/published).

So, I guess nothing really went on a "schedule" I could have imagined as a younger woman when I made assumptions that I'd be a college graduate and married w/kids before age 30.

But it's ok.

the goals i had set were to go go to the college of my choice ( i got in at the school i wanted), graduate ( i did with a decent gpa), get accepted into law school ( i did), graduate and pass the bar exam ( did that), find a job ( got one, but not my dream job), then i really did not have any definite goals; everything worked out pretty well; i think i was awfully lucky; now at my age the focus seems to be financial security, health, family and just being happy! my only other goal now is to answer as many questions on yahoo! answers as possible.

As I sit pondering my next life decision, surfing this new found Q and A, before work. Ironically. I am at another fork. I find myself evaluating my life at 28. It is constant effort to upgrade my goals and acheive them.
As 30 approaches, I do believe I will achieve the goals I keep setting. I ask the same question of you. :)

By then my daughter will be in Junior high. That will make it a lot easier for me to do what I want. I'm already married. I hope to have my own boutique by then, and I want to own land in Costa Rica by then as well.

I don't set goals. Life is boring when you know what will happen.
