Funny how everyone has a diff opinion why gas prices are up....... Not supply and demand.. HELLO, The demand has not went up 225% nor has the supply decreased enough, the price of a barrel of oil has not doubled since 2000 so why has the price????-

It's disgusting that these oil companies are making money off of Americans who are already pressured by rising health care, inflation and not receiving pay raises to compensate! This makes me SICK!

We need senators, congressmen and a president who put America first, not their own greedy interests!

Oh geez, not another Bush is at fault for gas prices. Ok, one more time: 1. It's the democrats who have blocked new drilling and building refineries. 2. It's the democrats who have increased the price of gas by demanding so many different blends of gas. 3. Gras prices to high or don't like their profits: ride a bus, a bike, carpool. It's all about supply and demand. Increase the supply and prices go down. Not to mention that every state collects a tax on every gallon of gas as do the feds. For all the complaining about gas prices, I read a study not long ago that found very few people have changed their gas habits.

I don't listen to Bush Bashers. Sorry, buddy, but you are barking up the wrong tree. Learn to deal with facts like supply and demand. Reliable figures I've seen show a correlation between the price of oil and prices at the pump. The demand for gas is not the problem. It is the demand for oil from developing countries like China which we take credit for since we buy so many cheap things from there. That bids up the world price for oil. Trying to blame this all on Bush is extremely misdirected and misses the crux of the problem.

George Bush must be the most power President in the history of the US. He controls the weather and supply and demand. Incredible. You want gas prices to go down? Get your friends out of the SUV's and into an economical car. All you have to do is look at the highway to see what's going on both with gas prices and the environment.

You can bring Jesus Christ in tomorrow as president and that would not affect the gas prices either way. Those prices are set on the global market. You can just thank god we are still able to enjoy some of the least expensive gas prices. Go and whine to someone in Canada or Great Britain, or anyone else in Europe. I'm afraid you won't get much sympathy though.

ask your self and your mum and dad. What do theychronic? What do youchronic? humorous element approximately organic factors. they are no longer countless. 1973 usa had a potential situation and Republican Nixon did no longer something, Republican Ford did no longer something, Democrat Carter had long gas strains indicative of a important situation on a similar time as Republican Reagan acted as though there became into no situation in any respect. going so a techniques as to take the photograph voltaic panels off the White homestead roof. Bush and Cheney have been approximately as proactive as Reagan. Now 39 years later usa is confident there's a lot of oil on a similar time as marketplace forces, tar sand oil and "fracking" dictate otherwise. FYI usa does not get any oil from Iran. 13% come from Iraq and Saudi Arabia. something comes from Canada and Mexico. do no longer ignore China is approximately as oil grubbing as usa. NOW you do in comparison to capitalism? What do youchronic back?

So your blaming gas prices on Bush?
No, no, no.
The reson gas is going up is simple. The oil refineries we have now can only take so much oil at a time, and with tthe number of cars in America, especially the gas guzzelers (Hummers, SUVs, etc.), we cant mine enough. Alll we need to do is build more refineries. Easy? No. The Nature Conservation guys (not sure of their name) dont want us to build anymore and are doing anything in their power, wich is quite a lot, to keep us from doing it. Once agiain the hippies are causting trouble.
But dont blame it on Bush. The Democrats blame everythign on him, and while he isnt the best president we have had, we have had worse (*cough* Clinton *cough*), and it certanly isnt his fault

What is problematic with transportation costs is that it ties us to the global oil markets. Many of the areas where oil and gas are harvested are in politically unfriendly or hostile areas. (including the US). Here in the US we have to deal with excessive environmental regulations, areas with known oil, coal and gas reserves have been deemed environmentally sensitive because of global leftists (in the guise of environmentalists) trying to weaken the power of the US to force their view of global utopia.

What if we do like my husband says we should do..........For 1 week we all ban together and don't buy gas and stay home, even the employers. Oil companies and the government would lose so much money.
