I loved Egypt! My brother and I went there for a summer vacation one year. We didn't book anything we stayed with locals and did work for food. It was a great experience and I felt that I got a better look at their lives.

I obviously don't know where you live but chances are excellent that you can book from your country of residence(I am Owner of a Travel Agency). Some basic questions come to mind:

1-What type of excursion? Guided Tour? Resort package?

2-Do you have a particular stretch of days in SEPT when you plan to go?

3-How long will your excursion be for?

4-Do you have a budget in place?

Minor issues yet important in that it will really simplify the process of finding an excursion to Egypt that will satisfy you. Depending on what you're looking for, there are several excursions to Egypt available. If you could kindly either call, email me at: indysteve1563@yahoo.com, or reach me through Yahoo Messenger with what you have in mind, we can search for the current excursions that are available.

Claire, I have agonized over and researched to death a trip to Egypt and finally decided to just do it. I am going the first part of Oct. Although I am going with an organized tour group I am spending some pre and post days on my own and from what I have gathered it seems it is best to book excursions from there and probably better to get help from the hotel. I hope this helps a little. Have a great time.
