Definitely not. I have a boardgame group that meets weekly (sometimes more) and the only Monopoly any of us own is the Star Wars version (because we're geeks), but we never play it. We play games like these: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/browser.php?itemtype=game&sortby=rank

Yes. Both the one on the physical board and more recently on the computer.
On the board; have played two cities. London and New York.
On the computer all eight cities. Plus various variants of the game too.

We do we have the starwars version. We were actually playing jr. monopoly last night with our 3 year old daughter.
