why do they all have perfect bodies? they all have long legs, perfect boobs, a tiny waist, and perfect hips and butts. i think these dolls have a bad influence on girls. the clothes are trashy, and they are all so stereotypical. they make girls feel they are nothing without the trendiest clothes, a cell phone, and a boyfriend. my sister is in 5th grade, and she is already thinking about kissing and wearing makeup! barbie, bratz and my scene make young girls want to grow up too fast. but i'm especially upset with the clothes that the bratz wear. THIGH HIGH BOOTS!! are these dolls or strippers? and mini skirts that barely cover their butts, and the tops are way too short!!! these dolls have a bad influence on girls, pressuring them to kiss, have a boyfriend, wear makeup at a younger age, and dress in inappropriate clothes. bratz and my scene should be discontinued, but barbie is a classic. but they could at least give her more modest clothes!
why do they make those dolls perfect?

The bodies of these dolls aren't porportionally realistic. The Barbie doll is this way too. I saw a TV show where they made barbie the size of a human, but kept her sizes in porportion with her sizes now. It turned out her boobs were like DD's and her feet were 6 inches long.
Girls today are exposed to a lot of stuff they shouldn't be, in addition to Bratz dolls. Actresses and singers are a lot younger than they were when I was a little girl in the 80s. And girls see these actresses and singers wearing next to nothing and what can you do?
Yeah, the bratz dolls could be a little less vuluptuous, not as sexy, and we need to preach more to our girls about the value of their body and how it can't be tramped around like a worthless piece of meat!

Personally I agree...that is why when my daughter gets barbies, we have to find more modest clothing for the barbie to wear, even if it means making it. Now as for the kissing boys and wearing make-up in 5th grade...that is average. I remember wanting to wear make-up in 5th grade and my mom made me wait until 6th grade to wear any. The body make up...well there is nothing we can do about that other than teach our children that what is most important is not what you wear and what you have but rather who you are as a person. That is where the problem is though cause so many adults get caught up in the keeping up with the Joneses and the kids see that!

I have no idea why however intercourse sells. I'm no longer being sarcastic. The so much obscene "artists" with catchy songs are continually on most sensible of the charts. It bothers me however I'm only one character. What can I do? I do not even desire to speak approximately Bratz dolls and the way men and women maintain announcing they're ghetto and a horrible illustration of black men and women. Like come on, the entire Bratz dolls are not black and why is dressing like tramps and dressed in transvestite sort make up handiest implemented to black tradition? That's particularly insulting!

I think they make them perfect because, let's face it, who would buy an ugly doll? I remember Barbie as a kid, and she wasn't that slutty. I even got my mom to go get my old dolls and stuff out of storage for my daughter instead of buying the junk that's out there today. I think the Bratz are ugly, and yes, totally trampy. Sadly, the clothes they put them in are what's in style right now so that says a lot about how we as a society are dressing ourselves. It just looks that much worse when you put it on a kids doll. When the girl in question is way too young to think about dressing that way herself, but wants to, it's easy to blame it on the trashy doll. In reality, it's TV and movies and magazines (and all the plastic enhanced women in them) in addition to the dolls. Real women don't look like dolls, models, actresses, singers, etc... So explain that the dolls aren't real examples of women, and neither are Brittney, Beyonce, Angelina, Kate...............

They are perfect to help perpetuate the female beauty myth. This helps the cosmetics/dieting/clothes industry out big time. Indoctrinate them when they are young.
It's unfortunate but if you talk to your girls and let them know that real women don' t really look that way it will help. Showing them how advertising works, etc, etc and taking the time to explain in a rational way (so that they make thier own minds up, just give them the unbiased facts) how the world works can do wonders.
Personally, I think the Bratz dolls are a bit creepy; their heads look odd.

Paola is totally right. society wants/expects girls to look like that... and younger girls want to be all pretty... because at that age, you kinow, before the rollercoaster of puberty hits, they actually think that they really ARE able to look like that if they use makeup, cell phones, boys, etc.
