How do you get a header and footer to appear in MS excel?

Whenever i make them they dont apper on the spread sheet but when i print it out the header and footer will appear. I need them to appear on the spreadsheet because i have to e-mail it to somebody

You seem to know how to create headers and footers. You do not have to worry about not seeing them in your screen. When you email/attach the spreadsheet to someone, they will see the H&F also when they print the SS.

headers and footers are set in the print settings

if you want them in the sheet itself then set up some formulas to copy the headers and footers to the relevant cells
