Sony will sell the 20gb and the 60gb because (A) They can, and(B) So if you are the type of person who buys hundreds or thousands of games you will be able to save them all on one hard drive instead of having to buy multiple hd's.

The hard drive (from what I have heard) will be to save games and other media. Of course the whole revolution is to have game system hard drives replace memory cards. Although xbox did release memory cards for the 360, I am pretty sure Sony will not with the PS3.

Of course, games and storage, the greater the GB is the more you can save in games and storage. The reason for 20GB is cheaper and 60GB is high priced, the higher the price the better the quality.

The one with the 60gb has more features in it. So if you get the 20gb ur not getting the real deal. just like the Core and Premium Xbox 360's.
