I don't buy the whole gentlemen get more distinguished with age and women just age (a pot belly doesn't look any better on a man than a woman--and at least often have had children!). It all depends on the person. There are 20 year olds that look haggard and fat and some in their 40's or 50's that look magnificent. Also, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Tricky question and a good one ,,I'm older but felt better and even looked better in my 20s but i don't feel bad about myself at 48 ,,We all age different and some people in there older years look awhole lot better with age ,,,we all have days that the ugly stick has struck us but then another day comes and we feel better and not depressed about the few wrinkles we seen the day before ,,Hard question to answer really because we are all of different ages and might feel our prime hast come yet ,,

I took an art appreciation course and they said everyone generally is in their prime around the age of 24. Personally, I think it differs. Men seem to age better than women, but I think it's because we do more to ourselves...i.e. make-up and such. Men don't do all the damage we do, so we show age more. That's my theory.

I think I looked my best in my early to mid thirties. I think it just depends on the person, and their genes. My Dad always looked about 10 years younger than his actual age, and it seems to be so with myself and my siblings. I think in general, men's' bodies hold up a little better than women's' (but they don't have to have babies!), but women's' faces and hair looks better when they're older. My boyfriend and I are in our 40's now, but we still look pretty good (we dated in high school, so I know what he looked like then). I would say 40's is prime--but it sure goes by fast!

PS) I've seen a lot of girls half my age who are pretty sloppy looking, and they haven't even had kids yet--you've got to take care of yourself!

When it comes to looking good and smart, age is not the start and finish of it all. It is a factor but believe me, 9 times out of every 10, it all comes down to how much effort you put it :-)

Vanity..such an ugly thing...As long as your healthy in mind , body and soul and treat your body as a temple then you'll always be in your prime until you hit your 70's at least. My mum is in her 60's and is fab for her age, she jogs, swims and looks like shes in her early 50's. We all age and lose gravity its how we live that matters, not what we look like...
