i wanted to be a fireman, but i found it impossible to get to even find out how to apply!! Apparntly you have to wait till they have a open day at a fire station and that is how you get in!!!

They generally dont start recruiting until end of Sept.
Get in touch with one and ask coz it may be different for certain areas.

I know that Fire Brigages/Stations who employ part timers/retained Firefighters are always looking out for new prople

I reckon the NYFD are probably still a little short staffed.
