No I mean do I need a tax id to buy wholesale and where is a good source? I've been useing ebay since 10/2002

Most wholesalers do require that you have a tax ID number. But... you are crazy if you think you can make money that way. Most sellers that are using dropshippers are really rethinking their investment right now.. the new eBay fee hike is really hurting their low profit margin. Remember with video games that after a couple months they usually drop at least $10 in retail shops. And you won't just be competing with the other sellers on eBay, you will also be competing against gamefly, gamecrazy, and the other new and used game sellers on the internet.

Anybody can sell items on EBay. You do not need a tax id. Though do be careful and ensure you are paying all appropiate sales tax.

Actually most reputable wholesalers - genuine wholesalers - will want to know your ABN number. Without one, genuine wholesalers won't deal with you. (Australian seller here)
