America hasn't supplied anything to Israel of late...except understanding for their position.
Those Paladines are ancient A2s and 3s...we're already at A6s - those are not our tanks.
The helicopters we did supply but they look vintage 80s...
we don't supply them with munitions as they prefer their own...
I mean c'mon...about the only footing this argument holds is that 37% of their military might are American citizens.
Bemoan something that makes sense.

but then America is the best position to put pressure on Israel to stop.
if America really wanted israel to stop, they would tear up the aid cheques.
They could stop this offensive in minutes, they obviously do not want it to stop.
casey_leftwich is wrong, He has never heard of loan guarentees. These work like this, America LEND Israel billions of dollars to be used to buy American Weaponry (which is often then sold on to China or Russia). the loan never gets repaid, so it's like a very large cash gift from the American Taxpayer to the Isrealis, that is then paid back into the banks of the American's weapons companies, finally finding it's way back into the pockets of the super rich shareholders.
So the military industrial elite, (in Bush's own words, 'His Base') make a huge amount of money and Isreal gets a load of neat weaponry. The only people to suffer are the american taxpayer and Israel's victims.

"Weapons of mass destruction" is a term used to describe chemical, biological or atomic warfare. The united states has never supplied these to Israel, and Israel has never used such weapons.
If you refer to missiles, fighter planes, etc. - yes, Israel has purchased those from the U.S. and used them in the battlefield.
That makes the U.S. Pro-Israel, but does it make it Anti-Lebanon? The answer is NO. The U.S is against Hezbolla, a terrorist organization which is a front for Iranian military expansion. This organization has hijacked a whole nation - Lebanon - and made it a platform for its own ends.

Since lebanon is essentially a genocidal maniac, attacking Israel unprovoked with thousands of rockets aimed at killing the entire civilian population, the legitimate "peace process" involves stopping them with military force. NO OTHER RESPONSE IS APPROPRIATE. That would make our sales of arms to Israel an integral part of the peace process. Once Hezbollah and its missiles are destroyed, peace will be restored. If they are not destroyed, they will simply keep attacking.
You are truly a sick bastard to imply otherwise. What would you expect of the US military, if those rockets were raining down on your home, killing your family, friends and neighbors? I tell you what....you would not be talking the way you are now. You would be screaming for carpet bombing, nukes, the immediate and total annihilation of the enemy. If someone whined because human shields kept at gunpoint around enemy missiles were being killed, you'd be screaming for their blood. You absolutely would not give a crap about that.

America is currently involved in a process aimed to assure petrol resources for its own country, and to assure political predominance in the world.
Since the USSR is no longer a potential enemy, the security interests of the country show that Arab terrorism is the most important threat to the US.
Consequently, the provision of military and financial support to Israel is part of the logic of the national interests of the country, beyond moral issues, US tends to protect the safety of its territory from terrorists attacks and to supply the oil necessary for the country continues development.

Who's peace? Islamist fascist will not rest until Israel is totally destroyed. Even after that, their peace plan also includes destruction of America. Israel only wants to be left alone. Stop attacking Israel and peace might break out.

And who are the biggest suppliers of financial and military aid to the terrorist they are defending themselves against. You should stop looking at this from one point of view. There are bombs going both ways and people dying on both sides. As for neutrality, where's yours? It's seems your pointing the finger in one direction and taking sides, which is probably the same kind of mentality that started this whole mess in the first place.

Dude this is america we are talking about and bush. He acts first and asks questions later. Remember the time when he sent his army to iran to look for Saddam and he was proven wrong. So he owes them a favour. That's why he's supplying nuclear weapons
Agreed! America favors favoritism. So, they are gonna help India in nuclear but they are getting their own benefits nah! They are demanding India to buy a few of their planes in terms of " friendly co-operation". Bush is corrupt!! American citizens do not speak out. Result = World war III within a few years which America will fuel obvious.

wow.. you HAVE to be kidding.
Lebanon (Hezbollah, actually.. and since the Lebanese Gov't just came out in support of Hezbollah.. I'll just stick with calling it Lebanon) started this. Israel, as well as any other soverign nation, has every right to defend their nation, especially against terrorists. Period.
And don't give me crap about disproportionate force. That is how wars are won!

Israel is a relatively wealthy nation and has supplied itself, or purchased rather, it's weapons and arsenal. The US didn't just give it to them and say "Have a blast!"
Besides, the US doesn't give out weapons of mass destruction. A rocket or a missle doesn't constitute a weapon of mass destruction.
