Man, the deadline deals are impossible to predict but if I had to make a prediction, here's how it would be:

-Miguel Tejada and a pitcher to Texas for Hank Blalock and two prospects.

Reason: Tejada would be an upgrade over Blalock and Michael Young has always been a good sport when it comes to changing position (Young move from 2B to SS when Soriano arrived). Plus, this is the way to stick it up to Houston after the Astro deal with Tejada fell through. Blalock can have a fresh start after being ridiculed by Texas for most of his career, but the Blalock-Mora situation would have to be resolved (because they both play 3B).

-Alfonso Soriano to the Angels for Ervin Santana and two or three prospects

Reason: Everybody knows that Washington doesn't have the money for Soriano and the Angels need a big bat that has a good farm system. I would have the Angels go with their original offer for Tejada and use that for Soriano and see if Jim Bowden bites.

-Greg Maddux to the Dodgers for two prospects.

Reason: The Cubs are out of contention and Maddux needs to play for a winner before he can retired (if he choose). The Dodgers have the most enticing offer for the Cubs, with the richest farm system in the league and need of pitching after Penny and Lowe, even though they are in last place. Plus, Maddux would play closer to his Las Vegas home (Ironically, the Dodgers Triple A team is there too).
