If I asked God to create a heavy rock, a very heavy rock that He Himself will not be able to carry, will He able to create that rock? If yes, will he be able to carry the rock? If He is able to carry that rock, then He is not able to do what I asked of Him to do exactly.

God will not just do unnecessary things for Him to prove you that He can do everything, coz God's power is already proven.
Before you ask that question, think of this:
Why did He make your nose the way it is right now and not upside down?
Probably because you won't be able to go out when it's raining.
Think. God needs no questioning.

Hmmm...yes....I heard that one when I was around seven...about the same time I learned on "Star Trek" that you can blow the top off a cyborg's head by telling him "I am lying to you right now."

The trap into which so many believers and non-believers fall is the is the image of God as a big bearded guy who shoots lightning from his fingertips. Imagine if our only image of "Love" were baby cupid, complete with wings and tiny crossbow. Would you blame anyone for saying "Love does not exist"?

Wouldn't there be arugments that "Love" is just a physical reaction, something easily explained by science? Wouldn't some snicker at you and say "You're just putting a positive spin on Lust?"

I certainly do not deny the biological roots of attraction, nor do I deny the existence of Lust. Neither of these "facts", however, lessens my belief that Love does exist. Can you measure Love in a laboratory? Can you put it on a treadmill to test it's endurance?No...So what's left?

You can only have Faith that it does exist.

I cannot explain Love. I cannot explain God. But I believe.

God would create the rock and let it float in space. Since he is not bearing the load, he has adhered to your request; since he created the atmospheric pressure then he is able to carry the rock, Q.E.D.

i think he'll make you a rock that looks big enough but still small enough for him to carry. and when you ask logic questions in here you're going to get some pretty childish answers, be warned

You do realize that your question is as old as the rocks themselves? This scenario may be new to you, but believe me it's been asked before - many times.

The Bible says not to tempt the Lord the God.

Think about it.

That's a well know paradox, along with 'why is there evil in the world?', "is god both omnipotent and benevolent?" and other questions that make Christians squirm.

There are two things God can't do. He can't learn - because he knows everything anyway. He also can't or won't violate the free will of a being that he gave free will to.

You just like asking stupid questions, God could if he wanted to, but that would be a waste of his time and I assume that he has better things to do.

Ultimately, you are attempting to ask God to fail, which is not suppose to be the case. Also, it would appear that you are attempting to measure failure as a form of success, yet another oxymoron.
