My cycles have been anywhere from 24 to 32 days for the last two years. I have taken two pregnancy tests....one at 34 days and another at 37, both tests negative. I am having pms systems...although not severe....my breasts are somewhat tender. Does anyone have suggestions on how to bring on a late period?

Could be stress or menopause

One time, when I was scared that I was preggers, I went home from work and drank a couple of glasses of wine. It brought my period on. That was a ways back though. Probably about 7 or 8 years ago. I am now happily pregnant. Alcohol thins out your blood and makes your period heavier, thus, in my situation, it brought it on. I was a few days late too. Had the same symtoms as you, went home and purposly drank and it worked. Your case may be different. It could be menapause. I know you HATE hearing this but it is the best thing you can do......call your doctor. If you don't have a doctor, see if there is a planned parenthood in your area. They will do it for free - check you out and see what is wrong with you. They have OB docs right on campus usually. Planned Parenthood or your doctor. Good luck! and start using protection girlie!

I'm not a doctor but it sounds like you may be starting menopause. My mom started out like you with long spaces in between each period. If you go to the doctor they can tell you if you are beginning menopause. It would probably be best for you to see your doctor to get things checked out. It will ease your mind too. I know my period has been way late before just because I was so worried that I might be pregnant. Stress can cause you to be late too. If it continues to be absent see your doctor and be thankful that it's almost time to not have to spend your money on pads, tampons, and new undies!!

Celebrate girl! It's most likely you've reached the next stage... home pregnancy tests are super accurate these days. Hormone fluctuations and pms symptoms go hand in hand (I've been having peri-menopause symptoms for a couple of years now).

You are most likely entering menopause, or perimenopause. Go to your doctor to have some hormone testing done. These tests will tell your doctor whether or not you are menopausal. Nothing will bring on a late period. You need to see your doctor

Your best bet is to visit your gynocologist or local health center. Women who have kids later in life put both themselves and their unborn at great risk, So it would be in your and that potential little bundle of joy to seek medical advise from a professional.

There are many tests that you will need to take on a fetus from an older woman including downs syndrome.

while it is not impossible to be pregnant at 50...it is more likely the onset of menopause, which means the ceasing of the monthly periods. Just go to your doctor to confirm it!
