We have a deep hole that used to be an underground sugar shanty. It's now filled with hundreds of snakes that fall in and become trapped. We do not want them on our property. What is the best product we can use to kill them??

I had the same problem years ago with an unused old well on our property. We filled the well in with cement. No more snakes.
You might also call in some experts that hunt snakes. Maybe they will come in and round them up for you and get rid of them for a small fee.
You didn't say how big the sugar shanty was, so if it isn't too big I would go with the cement.

Why do you not want snakes in your yard? Snakes are beneficial! in fact, they eat mice and rats and some bugs. They are most of the time harmless. Please reconsider your decision. Even though some people are a little creeped out by snakes they aren't bad things to have around. My old house used to have alot of mice, we tried trapping them and stuff, but we still had them, eventually they started going away, and that's when we discovered a snakeskin behind the bed. I've only seen the snake once, but there are alot fewer mice now. If you're absolutely bent on killing the poor animals the best way is to chop off their heads with an axe, hatchet, shovel. Please don't. You can transport them to a different place. find an old pillowcase and put them inside, tie the top shut and dump it out elsewhere. Also, if you have so many snakes in the hole, it's likely that you have even more around. You are not going to get rid of them, so try to learn to live with them. Research the breed to find out if they are very poisonous and stuff and if they are then you should buy a bottle of antidote, and be careful in the yard. Also teach your spouse/children (if you have them) snake safety and what to do if they get bitten. Snakes will not bite you unless they feel threatened. The kind of snake you find in your yard is not big enough to eat a person, and snakes don't like to waste their venom on something they can't eat, just because. Leave them alone and they'll leave you alone. Best of luck to you and your snakes.

Fill hole with dirt or if you plan to keep the hole,-then build a concrete wall two blocks high. I don't know of any product that repells snakes. -- PS -- It sounds gross but ( cats & chickens love to eat snakes)

ok DJ you're just WEIRD! Umm I wouldn't burn them or bury them? lol *shakes head* Dj is right if there are as many as you're talking in the hole, then you probaly have more. I'd just call a proffesional and have them set some traps for any others remaining.

Oh my I would move immediately, if not sooner. Well, I am
terrified of snakes. Maybe you could get an exterminator come
in and kill them. I hope you can get them destroyed very soon.
