Makeup, if it's the right kind for your skin type, can actually be good for your skin by by adding a layer of protection from the environment. Make sure it's non-acnegenic(although I think most of them are). More important is how you get it off and what else you are doing to it. Use a gentle cleanser for your skin type and be certain it is all off. DON'T sleep in it! Use a eye makeup remover that's gentle NOT BABY OIL! Ideally one that doesn't have to be rinsed, like Estee Lauder's. Don''t stress it by rubbing it too hard or drying it out too much.

No. Acually Mary Kay's foundation will protect your skin from the pollutants than you incounter on a day to day basis that clog up your pores. You definatly want to wash your face at night before you go to bed, but the Mary Kay foundation is actually part of a good skin care program. Contact me if you have anymore quesions....Or your Consultant should be able to answer your quesions as well.

Not unless the products you are using contain ingredients that cause skin irritation. Try Neutrogena's foundations and powders, they are very well formulated and won't clog pores. I would recommend their Healthy Skin Enhancer. It has sunscreen, which will protect your skin from sun damage, and antioxidants which will help prevent free radical damage. Sounds like scientific mumbo-jumbo but much better for your face than wearing nothing!
The kinds of pimples that cause scarring start deep under the skin and aren't triggered by anything on the skin (unless you just pick at regular pimples relentlessly). And there are plenty of "natural," "organic," "plant based," etc makeups out there that contain irritating plant ingredients. Just because something is plant based doesn't make it better.

I don't think it will harm your skin at all. You do need to wash it off every night tho and moisturize to help your skin. Mary Kay has great skincare products. Let your skin go "natural"- no make up, cleansed and moisturized when you have no where to go. Just to give it a rest.

I don't think it does, a lot of times it protects your skin from the bad weather pollution and the sun if you are using the right products... Chanel has some great foundations or you can use some of that natural stuff that is always advertised!!!

Nah, worse thing that could happen is that your pores get clogged. So wash your face in the morning and at night. Use a light moisturizer at night. I don't moisturize in the morning because I have very very oily skin. I use Mary Kay and am very pleased with it!

Mary Kay works great if you use one of the facial cleansing and lotions with the makeup everyday. Cheapier foundations can clogged pores causing pimples and they can scar.

just having natural clear skin with no makeup on is always the best. No makeup can really make your skin healthier, unless its a cream or something. My guess is that you really dont need alot of foundation, but i suggest what ever makeup you are using, have it be all natural/organic! It really does help!
