have you tried using an ovulation predictor kit? or charting your temperature? or charting your CM?

It took me 10 months to conceive the twins and in that 10 months I only had 2 natural periods. It was very frustrating. We just kept trying. I have since had an ectopic pregnancy and discovered I have PCOS, hence the irregular periods. I would love another one but I can't see it happening now.

Good luck to you, just keep trying every other day for a month. Hopefully you should catch the right time at some point! With irregular periods, you could ovulate anytime, if at all.

Check out "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. (Try the library if money is a concern.) You'll learn how to chart your cycles and monitor your fertility signs (basal body temperature shifts, quality of cervical mucous, position of cervix...) Since ovulation determines when your next period will happen, nobody can tell you based on previous cycles when you will ovulate for this cycle. The method Weschler presents may seem complicated at first, but once you get a good overview of it, you'll understand how beneficial it could be to you. Loads of good info.

there are a few sites that have the ovulation predictor calculators for free... like babycenter.com and mymoonthlycycle.com or babyzone.com you can also try using the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor they are expensive but they work GREAT! Worth every penny for me and usually you can get better deals on e-bay...if you cannt get that then get a ovulation predictor kit that are like 7 strips for like 25-30 bucks at walmart

It might be a good idea to get yourself a thermometer. If you take your temperature every morning at the same time, your temperature suddenly drops just before you ovulate.

Or (this is going to sound rather gross) you can work out when you are going to ovulate by checking your vaginal discharge. It changes consistency throughout your cycle. When it gets thicker, clear and slimy, your body is ready to ovulate.

I hope this is helpful and hasn't freaked you out!
Good luck!

There is a free calendar at www.babyzone.com and it is very easy to use. You should try a ovulation test and just watch your discharge. Good luck!
