here is the question for science n engineering minds.!?

i am doing analysis on dosing drum.that drum weighs about 1800kg.and having the length of 1500m.and its cross-section is 600*600.in order to make analysis i have a motor,helical gear box,indexing machine.anybody explain me 1.what indexing mechanism will suit for this?.
2.what is the design for the motor,helical gear box,indexing machine?
for indexing the dwell period is 3 seconds.and i tried with geneva mechanism .but it did n't suit well.

Having trouble with your question. Please define "dosing"
