NASA says no, nobody has had sex in space, so IF it has been done, it was done on the sly and not as a "test". There have been many rumors of sex in space, but I can't believe them since the space craft are small with little little privacy and since the astronauts are kept very busy with a demanding work schedule all the time they are in orbit.

First off let me say that NASA has denied that this has ever taken place. There was a husband and wife astronaut team I am told that were in space at the same time. As the vast majority of astronauts have been men, this question might be a bit tacky. Shanon Lucid lived with two men abord the Mir space station. To put it tactfully, I doubt any hanky panky took place if you've seen Shanon Lucid. The answer I am giving is NO. Sex was not tried yet in space as a test or otherwise.

This is another one of those top secret classified questions that we will probably learn the answer to 40 years from now when astronauts start to die and feel like they have to come clean.

Of couse, we may never know. As the government continues to become more controlling and invasive it may be determined to be in the national interest to terminate these people before they spill the beans.

Government agencies such as NASA have expressedly forbidden the practice of sex in outer space as it might increase the demand for people to actually pay to go into space. Something that NASA has tended to discourage.

Hopefully when private companies explore/exploit space more we will get first-hand accounts.

Hi. The Space Shuttle once had a husband and wife on board. Since sex is such a natural part of being human I would guess that it has probably happened. But I would also guess that it was not part of a test. Just part of being human.

Yes, I have, although NASA made us sign a waiver that we would not discuss it. I actually had sex with one of the commanders on the International Space Station. It wasn't that great. We had a hard time "thrusting". It's better on Earth, trust me!!
