A good book or two, incase your flight is delayed, crossword puzzles, games, bottled water, loose shoes, meds that you need in your carryon luggage. If you have a laptop, bring that to play games on or some other kind of game to entertain you. Chewing gum for take-off and landing. Don't wear synthetic material, wear 100% cotton, it's cooler and more breathable. Be prepared to be delayed, bring stuff to entertain yourself with and don't get upset if you ARE delayed.
