I care about animal cruelty!
as for what we can do personally is
to always report anything we see that might be considered
animal cruelty.
maybe get involved with your local animal shelter and find out
any other ways they might have to suggest.
I think the laws are getting a little tougher on this.

The only way to stop it is to make it illegal to never own a pet. PERIOD. But that isnt going to happen. Plus people dont care about animal cruelty ..Infact they barely care about human cruelty.

since its a proven fact that most people who hurt people started by hurting animals (one murderer even said he used to take free kittens and experiment on them first before he switched to people) we need to start with improving parenting skills

my guess is most of these people either had something defective in their brains at the time of birth or went a bit mental due to parenting...
firstly though parents should NEVER turn a blind eye when "pets go missing" - Jeffry Dalmer killed family pets and why didnt his parents stop him them???
sometimes animal cruelty happens becuase people need to take their frustrations out on somebody weaker than them

ok second point anyone who buys eggs other than free range is supporting animal cruelty
anyone who buys kittens or pups from pet stores is supporting animal cruelty
anyone who buys products made by certain companies like Proctor and Gamble (this includes IAMS PET FOOD and EUKANUBA) is supporting animal cruelty

Do you mean like on "Fear Factor", I could not believe they had too eat Cow, parts, right in front of the cows, in the backround, behind them........Now, how "Cruel" is that?!!! I told my daughter, I felt sorry for the cows in the Backround, because, I'd bet they sensed slaughtering around them, with those people eating their family members, etc....... Or they could smell, it somehow, knowing they may be next...... Its all so sad, Animal Cruelty, should be a "Forbidden Act" all over the world......

we'd probably have to do something about human cruelty toward humans, first- if people are willing to kill and torture each other, it's going to be hard to get them to stop torturing and killing animals

Take an active stance with your local authorities to place much stronger penalties against those that abuse animals. With this in mind, ask yourself....What have I done personally to make this happen?
