suffering in Palestine and Lebanon
as Arab Christian i am wondering why my Americans Christians brothers have no clue what is happening in Palestine and Lebanon
750 Lebanese were killed during 19 days, 60 were killed yesterday in a refuge building most of them Lebanese Childrens
and Womens, 37 Lebanese Childrens were killed
what`s the difference between Nazis and Israel Army ?
i mean killing is a killing, slaughter is a slaughter
it does not matter what is the mean a killer uses?
also 97 Palestinians were killed in Gaza Strip during these 19 days
to all you who are saying that Hizballah is using citizens as shieds
i will tell you , you have no evidence.
if it`s were in America and a refuge building full of womens and childrens was attacked and womens and childrens get killed
then i am sure Americans wont accept the enemy excuse that
will jump saying to you :
you Americans used these people as a shield
will you accept the enemy excuse ? sure not

I just wonder why some people close their eyes to the truth.
Devil lives in Israel! Actually, they have this crazy belief that this land is theirs, even though their messiah hasn't come yet and they cannot claim it as their land until he comes. So technically, they shouldn't even be there. The only reason they're still alive is because the US backs them up. Otherwise, the Germans or the Arabs would have wiped them off the face of this earth. They're horrible people. They bombed hospitals, escape roads, airports, bus stations. They bombed civilians trying to escape in cars and buses, and they bombed a PREDESIGNATED UN PEACEKEEPING LOOKOUT! All that over two soldiers? Yes, I must admit that Hezb-allah is retaliating, but what would you do if bombs are being dropped over your head. You'd fight back any way you can.

Let's take this point by point:
Americans are looking at this VERY closely. Popular opinion in the U.S. doesn't hold President Bush in very high regard at all at this point, and people are doing their best to get all the evidence they can to determine what is right and what is wrong. And we do have a clue.
Secondly, it sickens U.S. citizens to think of all the terrible destruction that has come upoin the good people of Lebanon.
Thirdly, there is a HUGE difference between the Nazi army and the Israeli army. The Nazis were the aggressor throughout Europe, invading country after country. And there solution as to how they were going to control those populations was just to murder any civilian who posed a threat. On the other hand, Israel has been provoked. There is no doubt about that, Hezbollah has admitted it (although they also say they did not expect THIS kind of response), and the neighboring Sunni countries also acknowledged Hezbollah was completely in the wrong, as far as STARTING this war goes.
So, then the next issue is, was Israel justified in using force? I think most Americans would say "yes." Hezbollah can't just be allowed to cross into Israeli territory and attack its citizens. And to some degree, the Lebanese government has to be held accountable. As a people, Lebanon has refused to disarm Hezbollah even though there have been commitments to the UN to do this. Why, or why, or why, didn't the Lebanese government disarm Hezbollah? It was such a costly, stupid mistake, one I so wish that you as a people could do over.
And while you say there is no evidence that Hezbollah is using civilians as shields, there are 2 pieces of public evidence, though you may not be aware of them. There is a cable from a Canadian representative in the UN compound acknolwedging this fact regarding how Hezbollah was using UN civilains to protect themselves; and I have seen one picture that definitely appears to be a Hezbollah launching site from within a heavily civilian area. From that, I draw the conclusion that there be more, which is why I believe that this is a general Hezbollah tactic. And, let's face it, it is a smart tactic to use on the part of Hezbollah ... any guerilla organization tends to do that these days. But, in any case, there is evidence, but perhaps not lots and lots of evidence.
Having said that, has Israel been justified in doing what they've done? In my opinion, no. They have used this as an excuse to go into Lebanon and try to wipe out Hezbollah, and have been unconcerned about the costs. They have been willing to obliterate Lebanon to save maybe a couple hundred Israeli soldiers who would have been lost if they had gone in with a ground assault to destroy Hezbollah weapons caches (which I honestly believe, given the prvocation, they DO have the right to do). The Lebanese people have legitimate reasons to hate Israel, and ask for recompense from the rest of the world.
Having said that, you probably need to accept that Lebanon will NEVER have peace unless Hezbollah is disarmed. Hezbollah openly acknowledges that it plans to eradicate Israel. Iran backs Hezbollah and hates Israel even more. So as a nation, you have to remove the temptation from Hezbollah ... you have to stand up to them, thank them for their services to the people of Israel, but thell them forcefully that, once peace comes, they cannot be allowed that possibility again. Form a REAL army to protect you, one made of ALL the elements of your society, not just the ones filled with the overriding goal of your neighbor's destruction.

I am a Lebanese Christian and I will say that Hezbollah (whom I do not support nor endorse, their vision for Lebanon is not mine) fire rockets into Israel using an old system of unguided missiles (Katyusha rockets), basically there is no way for them to control who is hit, and I'm not saying they care to be discriminate in this regard. Israel on the other hand uses highly sophisticated (U.S. supplied) guided missiles and their strikes are deliberate and powerful. The numbers dead of Lebanese to Israeli are staggeringly heavy on the Lebanese side. Top that off with the general attitude that anything done by the Lebanese and/or Hezbollah side is terrorism and the same actions carried out by the Israelis are considered "self-defense" and you will see why so many Arabs, Christians and Muslims alike, are against the actions carried out by Israel. And the United States is Israel's largest supporter and as a result needs to exert influence and step in and stop these massacres. By not doing so they are condoning them. The entire world needs to see that Israel is not innocent here. And at this point, I consider them the greater of the two evils.

Americans hate loss of innocent life as much as Arabs do, and as much as Israelis do. War is a hprrible event, and civilians invariably die at a much higher rate than non civilians. So how do you end the bloodshed in the Middle East? The Israelis are not going away, and neither are the Palestinians. 10 years ago, Israel left Lebanon, and the UN and Lebanon agreed to curtail Hezbollah. Still hasnt happened has it? Until the arabs of the Middle East agree to allow Israel to exist, stop killing Israelis with crude missiles and suicide terrorists, there will be no peace from Israel. Israel belives that the Arabs wish to destroy them, and so far you have given them no reason to not believe that.

This is so pathetic. Why was there no outcry that Hezzbulah sent a rocket into an apartment building in Israel? Why was there no outcry when a Hezzbulah rocket hit a train depot in Israel? All these killed civilians and not even consider military targets! Why is the world ready to condem Israel but when Hezzbulah does it is considered OK?
The UN and the anti semitic people need to wake up.

How can you possibly compare the planned, deliberate annialation of six million people to Israel's defense against a terrorist organization? Are you a moron? ...and in case you were asleep that day, we did have innocent people killed here in America- remember? September 11, 2001 and the Oklahoma City tragedy (a daycare was bombed as well as offices). My sympathies are also with the innocent Lebanese/Palestinian people who have the misfortune of being forced to live among terrorists. There's no easy answer, but I know if there were terrorists living in my neighborhood and I knew about them, I'd do everything in my power to expose them and keep my own daughter from harm.

read the bible...God will forever protect Israel
and why aren't all the Arabs supporting us against the terrorists that blew up Americans on 9/11??? if they are so compassionate.?
And us American Christians are smart enough to realize what the bible says & to differentiate between the truth & what the media portrays to us!
