I found out accidentally though an email that my daughter has consulted not only one psychic, but is on her second after the first "took her $40,000." I need to know how to bring my daughter to the table to fess up and face this problem. She is aware I'm aware but does not know I have all the details.

My daughter is single, lonely and turning to psychics for answers. I know, dumb, a no-brainer. I don't need the attitude. I am worried about her as her health is fragile and she is gainfully employed, but probably neither will hold for long. No one else to turn to. We are in our 60's and are floored by this.

I got hold of the 800 # of the psychic and left a message with the word "fraud" in it and am expecting a phone call back today. It will probably never come. What retribution may be available? Authorities? I could commit my daughter or tie her up. (kidding) Maybe slap her.

It's a tough problem you are facing. You may try to contact a non-profit pshchic organization/association for suggestions(make sure it's a genuine one, not one of those that advertise 800 hot numbers). I believe some are professional and honest and would love to help weed out the fraudulent ones.

Case like this calls for a lawyer; to the least, you need to learn your legal rights and alternatives. Make sure to find a decent and honest lawyer.

I would also suggest to deal with the root problems your daughter, maybe your whole family, is facing. Could be a recent or an age old traumatic family tragedy; or a private matter in your daughter's life that you are not fully aware of.

I would suggest to approach her with unconditional love. Stress the fact that $40,000 is not the focus of the discussion, but her well-being is! Don't disagree with her openly on how to achieve her well-being. First, simply acknowledge her point of views without offering any suggestions; this stage may take a few days. Patience is the key. Once you've built your raport, then you can start presenting alternative views, but do not preach.

If you can get a confident and healthy daughter back, $40,000 would worth the money. Believe me.

Consult a lawyer, but I'm not sure how much you could actually do as your daughter is an adult. Unless you can show that she is not able to judge things for herself, I think she has to be the one to take legal action. Make sure that her name isn't on any of your accounts, so that no one can clean you out as well. Good luck.

Hire your own psycic to find out who will win the World Series and the Super Bowl... After you count your winnings use the $$ to hire a hitman for the psychic who screwed your daughter......

what an awful situation for you to find yourselves in. this has two main issues: firstly the finances, secondly your daughter's wellbeing. in the first case i'd recommend hiring a lawyer immediately to find out just where you stand legally: going on from there you can find out whether you should get the police involved and press charges. secondly, try to get your daughter to consult a counsellor, who can give her appropriate advice specific to her own problems, better than outsiders. good luck.

This is serious unless she could afford the money. I do think taking that much money needs a through investigation by the proper authorities. Take away her access to her money until her mental stability has been evaluated. Please send $100.

Your daughter must be fat and ugly. Call Jenny Craig, and take away her computer.
