I have been looking into TESL certifcation courses as I would like to relocated to Japan for a year (maybe more) to teach English. I have read though that in order to qualify for a work Visa in Japan I would need a college degree, which I do NOT have. Any ideas?

It might be difficult, but I do know a few people who have landed employment without college degrees. You should go to Japan on visa waiver and job hunt for a while to see what you come up with.
